The Department of Biotechnology was initiated  in the year 2002. The department is headed by Dr. Shaleesha A. Stanley, excels in various fields of Biotechnology. Every year the department produces Gold medalist excelling in the field of Biotechnology. Adequate Infrastructure and facility to offer courses for Undergraduates and Postgraduates in Biotechnology.  The Masters degree was established in the year 2011. Ever since its establishment, it has been evolving into a classic state, capable of complying with International standards and protocols of National Recognition. 

The department is proud to present ‘JET HELIX 2014- A Technical Extravaganza’ on 24th of July, 2014 under the band wagon of PRATIYOG 2k14.
